Punch-Type Capsule Filling Machine
This model is an intermittent motion, punch-type, fully automated capsule filling machine for hard gelatin capsules. The various stages of operation are as follows:
1. Capsule Rectification: empty hard-gelatin capsules, whose body and cap are loosely held together, are poured into the capsule delivery plate. This plate has circular channels that guide the capsules through a rectification process. The capsules are adjusted to ensure they are oriented correctly for filling i.e. with the cap in the up position and the body down.
2. Capsule Separation: The capsule tray moves to the separation station, where a vacuum divider raises to separate the capsule caps from the bodies. The caps are held in the upper part of the tray, while the bodies move downward.
3. Filling: The separated capsule bodies are then filled with powder. This is done through a dosing station that accurately measures and dispenses the required amount of powder into each capsule body.
4. Capsule Locking: After filling, the capsule caps are reattached to the bodies. This is done through a locking mechanism that ensures the capsules are securely closed.
5. Ejection: The filled and locked capsules are ejected from the machine.
The machine also has a cleaning mechanism to ensure that any residue or waste is removed, maintaining hygiene and efficiency. It is made from high quality stainless stell and is fully enclosed both for the protection of the operator and the surroundings but also for the product itself. It could fill capsules of sizes 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 (where 0 is the largest and 4 the smallest size).
